I am Elise Mosca, osteopath D.O. Osteopathy is a manual therapy aimed at treating pain and dysfunctions in the whole body: spine, limbs, viscera... The approach is holistic, and everything is reviewed during a session.
What is a typical working day like for you?
I see up to 8 patients a day. It's a physical work but it can also be mentally demanding as there is quite often the psychological aspect involved. The session starts with history taking, where I try to understand the precise feelings of the patient, the probable causes of the pain, etc. I then carry out a physical examination of each part of the body and I treat each dysfunction and/or restriction of mobility found.
Once everything is back in place, I give some practical advice to the patient to ensure that blockages won’t come back. What I love the most in my job is relieving people's pain and helping them to optimize their health, without medicines or using any medical intervention.
A word about your overall experience with Doctena?
I have been using Doctena for almost two years now. A friend who works there suggested it to me because I wanted to expand my patient base. Doctena allowed me to fill my agenda consistently, as well as save valuable time since online appointment booking avoids phone calls - which I don't answer when I am with a patient, that is to say, the biggest part of the day. That’s why I gave up quickly my old online appointment booking system and now only use the Doctena system. However, I do not use video consultations or online payment modules yet.
