Doctena.lu promises easier booking of appointments in just three clicks

(CS) A new website aims to make it easier for patients to book an appointment with a doctor in Luxembourg, by showing available appointments and languages spoken.

Doctena.lu promises easier booking of appointments in just three clicks.

The site allows patients to look for physicians by specialism, place and their languages spoken. It then shows the next open time slots and allows making a request for an appointment.

This will then be confirmed by email.

Not only is English on the list of available languages. On top of the usual German, French and Luxembourgish, there are also doctors speaking Korean, Arabic, Russian or Turkish.

In total, there are 13 different languages to choose from.

So far, just over 50 doctors from 12 different specialisms have signed up.

The site was created by Patrick Kersten, who helped launch monster.lu and founder of atHome.lu

After experiencing some initial teething problems as is often the case with new website projects, doctena.lu now appears to have ironed out both technical and training issues.

“We have fixed the hick-up that we had last Tuesday and all doctor assistants are now properly trained” explained Patrick Kersten.

“We do think that our services will be particularly appreciated by the international community in Luxembourg. Therefore doctena is multilingual and allows you to filtre doctors according to their language skills” stated Patrick who went on to say that 33% of users visit the website in English language.
