750,000 appointments made without a hitch via the Bru-Vax vaccination platform

In 100 days of existence, more than 750,000 vaccination appointments have been made in Brussels, without a hitch, through the Bru-Vax vaccination platform, the CoCom said Wednesday.

This platform, developed with Doctena, was launched on April 19 to simplify the booking process. According to CoCom, during peak hours, four appointments per second are made there.

Cocom and Doctena have developed the appointment platform to simplify the cumbersome booking process for citizens.

“To register, the national registration number is sufficient. To date, more than 386,000 Brussels residents have made a secure appointment for the Covid-19 vaccination,” said Inge Neven, head of the Covid-19 scheme at the Joint Community Commission.

Doctena has developed a service that responds to the specificities of Brussels and to the technical needs of managing the logistical aspects necessary to pursue the vaccination strategy. In addition to making vaccination appointments or the waiting list system for citizens, the platform has integrated registration for free transport tickets (STIB), a secure vaccine ordering system for the various stakeholders involved in vaccination such as mobile teams or general practitioners.

“Our customers, hospitals and healthcare professionals call on Doctena to optimize the organization of their days and save precious time for their patients. The doctena.be platform allows them to make appointments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the greatest of ease. The successful organization of the online registration for vaccination is a perfect opportunity to show the most reluctant patients the efficiency of the digitalization of appointment booking in healthcare”, commented Alain Fontaine, CEO and co-founder of Doctena.
