Axa joins forces with Doctena to develop MyAXA Healthcare

Axa Belgium continues its expansion in the realm of e-health with exciting new features being added to their MyAXA Healthcare app through a partnership with Doctena.

It’s no surprise that Axa has been keen on making its mark in the e-health industry. After forging a successful collaboration with Microsoft, Axa Belgium now proudly joins hands with Doctena, the leader in online appointment scheduling systems for healthcare.

Thanks to this fruitful partnership, the MyAXA Healthcare platform will offer a range of new functionalities. “This collaboration will make accessing healthcare faster and more flexible, as we strive to continually enhance the platform with offerings that ease the lives of our health-insured customers,” explains Antoine Boyer de la Giroday, Chief Life & Health Officer.

Their journey into e-health began four years ago, starting with 24/7 video-conference consultations with general practitioners. The following year saw the addition of consultations with psychologists. Last year, Axa introduced online symptom evaluation tools powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI). And this year, they proudly launched a service for second medical opinions, complementing the first physical visit to a specialist.

Enter Doctena, offering an excellent service for scheduling appointments online. Over 4,600 Belgian practitioners are already benefiting from this platform. Notably, during the coronavirus vaccination period, the system was selected for scheduling appointments in the Brussels region.

Doctena also excels in video consultations, a feature actively utilised within the prestigious Cliniques de l’Europe in Brussels.

Doctena’s inception in 2016 came about through the merger of the Luxembourg-based Doctena and the Belgian company, Docbook. Since then, they’ve grown through multiple acquisitions, with a bold vision of becoming the “Immoweb of healthcare.”
